Twenty-nine years ago, in fall of 1989, NBC aired a TV movie that was so impactful that people who saw it then still remark on the effect it had on them. It was Tracey Thurman’s story, called “A Cry for Help, starring Nancy McKeon as Tracey and Dale Midkiff as Buck.
I recently watched the movie with two fellow podcasters and a full episode of our discussion will be up on Patreon by the end of November. If you want access to it, become a Patreon member at the $3 dollar level, and you can hear the bonus content!
For today I wanted to give you a sneak peek into the episode. At times we drifted off of the movie a bit to discuss the wider issues of domestic violence and I’m sharing a few of those moments with you today.
Thank you to my pod friends for joining me! Check out their shows.
